Full-text articles from scholarly journals and literary magazines are combined with critical essays, work and topic overviews, full-text works, biographies, and more to provide a wealth of information on authors, their works, and literary movements. ProQuest Learning: Literature Provides over 3,000 author pages giving access to biographies, original works, book reviews and criticism, and contextual multimedia to enhance the study of a particular text. Poetry resources include over 185,000 full-text poems, as well as The Poets on Screen collection, which offers contemporary poets giving readings of their favorite works. Drama students will find theater reviews, images from productions, and images and video for historical background or to inspire stage design or costume. Images and texts can be downloaded and manipulated on-screen for a variety of activities, or stored in a personalized My List. Novelist Plus A resource dedicated to everything books. Common Sense Media A resource primarly for parents to review content in books and movies and tv shows. A good review tool to speak to the content of a book and any content warnings needed. Amazon Often, publishers will include reviews from a variety of places in their description section for a book sold on their site. This is one way to avoid a paywall on a book review site. |
