Warrior Summer Reading 2024
Happy ALMOST summer, Warriors!
The Warrior Library is excited to promote our partners, the public libraries, and their summer reading programs this year!
There is NO ONE LIST for Maine West - read anything. Read EVERYTHING. We have some great lists below that are an awesome starting point if you need some inspiration.
We want you to track how much reading you do this summer. You can use your favorite book app, you can go old school and use a paper tracker, coloring tracker (there are some linked at the bottom of this page!) But not JUST reading. Podcast listening, book discussions and other programming participation at the Des Plaines Public Library all count too! Engage in the stuff that you enjoy, learn from, and find inspiring. Need ideas? We have a HUGE display of all our favorites in the Library, and you can always ask Mr. Greenberg or Ms. Coover-Thompson for a reccomendation - or two!

Accessing Book for Summer Reading
Read or listen to a book from our Summer Reading Reccomendations using the Sora app to locate many ebook and audiobook options. You can even sign up for the SYNC 2020 program or visit Audible Stories for more audiobook selections. Please note that incoming freshmen may not have access to their District 207 Sora account until school starts in the fall - however, they can add their local public library as well as the free audiobook program on Sora. If you need assistance with Sora, or would like a book recommendation, please contact Ms. Coover-Thompson or Mr. Greenberg - or head over to our YouTube channel for some video book talks or our instagram for some great recommendations! |
